Velo City Riders Cycling Club is excited to announce the reopening of our 5th Anniversary Kit store through Athlos Sports. Both Squad One (Club Fit) and Split Zero (Race Fit) items are available for purchase. Some accessories and Element Protection are also available. We have discontinued the Breakaway line. The store is now open until Friday November 3, 2023 at 11:59 pm, so don’t miss your opportunity to get your commemorative anniversary kit.

We encourage everyone looking to order to stop by Patapsco Bicycles and try on the kit samples to assure you are ordering the correct size. The Fit Kit sizing event is is happening NOW and will end on Sunday November 5th.

The Story behind the kit
It started 5 years ago with a group of friends who wanted to share their love for cycling. Velo City Riders was born from the desire to promote the love and enjoyment of cycling through education, safety, and camaraderie. Over the past 5 years, the Velo City Riders family has experienced amazing growth. From the humble beginnings with just 5 inaugural members, to now having membership of over 500, Velo City Riders Cycling Club is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s most popular cycling clubs.
In honor of their five years of cycling excellence, Velo City Riders Cycling Club is proud to announce the all new, limited edition, 5th Anniversary celebratory kit. The design team behind the anniversary kit worked hard on every detail of the kit to bring you this special design that celebrates this momentous achievement. The new kit sports a bold redesign of the Velo City Riders logo layered over the special anniversary colorway that highlights the dynamic nature of the club and its members.
The design includes a special 5th Anniversary logo on the chest marking the year the club was established, with the 5 years being symbolized by five wheels.
The kit also pays homage to one of our Velo family members that we lost in 2021. Grace D. Ligon, wife of our club member Tyrone Ligon, lost her lengthy battle with cancer. In honor of what she meant to the Velo family, her memory is immortalized in a shoulder patch on the anniversary kit.
Along with the special anniversary details, the kit highlights the club sponsors across the back.
The Anniversary kits are being produced by Athlos Sports. The full lineup of kit options include different fits and fabrics, as well as accessories to complete your Anniversary kit style.
